A review of the video game Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, as told by Billy

I chose the video game Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, developed by Nintendo. This game was chosen because of I have many great memories playing this game with my younger brother. I have a long history with the Legend of Zelda Franchise, and I have always wanted to talk about this game.

Some new technologies developed and used were SSS or Sub-Surface Scattering. SSS is used when an object isn't quite opaque, but isn't entirely transparent either. It allows for sunlight to filter through leaves with different effects based on time of day, and depends on location, such as the aforementioned leaves, or the canvas of a tent. This new technology, SSS, is being used in many different 3D design projects, such game development as shown in this example, or 3D rendering for creating more realistic models.
The 3D design was combined with Sound design, as the game uses ambiance to emphasize a bigger encounter in the field, where more active music is played. Other branches of design used was Art design The art team is tasked with creating the designs of the characters and enemies encountered in the world. Many of the designs created by the art team had to get approval by the producers, Eiji Aonuma and Hidemaro Fujiyabashi. For the artwork of the main characters, Link and Zelda, they needed approval from Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the series.
I could see myself working on a 3D Design project, just not with 3D design. I want to be a Sound Designer, and be able to add the parts that sometimes go unnoticed, or are admired for what they do. I would love the opportunity to work on a game like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
